I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a Masters Degree in
Human Services from National Louis University, Evanston, IL. My emphasis is
in Addictions Counseling. I am an Illinois State Certified Drug and Alcohol
Counselor (CADC). I spent the first half of my career working in a variety
of clinical modalities which allowed me to receive a wide range of clinical
experiences such as: The Harbour, a shelter for adolescent girls, most of
whom were court appointed residents; WRS, an Inpatient Residential Chemical
Dependency Program for women and their children, located in Lake County;
Omni Youth Services (adolescent, individual and family counseling) working in
both Lake and Cook counties; Western Lake DUI Services in Lake and McHenry
County; and an independent contractor for an area group private practice in
the NW suburbs. I began my private practice career in 2001 and have been on
my own since 2009 in the Lake/Cook County Area. I recently co-founded and
co-own Selah Healthcare Professionals, LLC, of Barrington, IL in October
2013, as well as continue to own and operate Elizabeth J Kowieksi, LCPC
private practice at the same location as SHP, LLC.
I understand what it takes to be committed to a marriage relationship and
parenting together. I view marital and pre-marital counseling as sacred and
an honor. I am for both of you to receive the help, support and direction

I have been married to my husband, Greg, for over 30 years. We have 3 adult
children, love to travel and love to give back to our local and global
community in a variety of ways.
